I now think that I screwed things up when I reinstalled the Epson drivers. They are all part of the OS X basic install and update. Note I did not have to install any drivers or do anything else to get the printers to work. It showed a combo update 10.4.11 which I downloaded and installed and shut down theħ- I plugged all the auxiliaries back in and started the computer and VOLLA everything is working.
Here is what I finally did and it worked:Ģ- I disconnected all auxiliary equipment (printers etc.)ģ- I deleted all EPSON files and references to Epson after identifying them through system findĤ- I used the original OS X 10.2 disk which came with the computer to boot up the computer and used the disk utility to repair first the permissions and then the hard driveĥ- I restarted the computer, re-installed-archive from my OS X 10.2 disk which came with my computer and restarted againĦ- I then checked for updates via the finder software update (apple icon on main menu)
